During our recent stay at the Double Red Duke in the Cotswolds, I was immediately charmed by the beautiful 17th-century coaching inn, complete with cosy log fires and stunning views of the garden. The exceptionally friendly staff made us feel right at home, especially Beth at reception, who went above and beyond with her attentiveness. Our room was not only stunning but also comfortable, showcasing striking feature wallpaper and a fabulous super king bed that left us feeling like royalty. The culinary experience was a highlight; we indulged in an exquisite dinner featuring local produce and grilled delicacies prepared over an open flame - it was nothing short of spectacular. Breakfast was similarly delightful, with a great spread that set us up perfectly for the day. I can't recommend this magnificent retreat enough - it's definitely a place to return to, perhaps for our anniversary!
